RD-WMB configuration

Article Number

Question / Problem
How to configure the RD-WMB display as required.
Removing the occupancy display
Removing the fan speed control
Removing the humidity display
Removing the CO2 display
Removing the outside air display
Stopping the display scrolling

Environment

  • RD-WMB with IQ4 and IQEco using the supplied standard strategy or standard solution.

Answer / Solution
1. To stop the scrolling display feature add input 16 to the interface module and set the PV index to 90C, the value to 1 and set an interval value. The local temperature only will then be displayed.
2. To remove the humidity display remove PV index value 2007 from input line 6.(leave PV column blank)
3. To remove the CO2 display remove PV index value 200B from input line 10.(leave PV column blank)
3. To remove the OAT display remove PV index value 200C from input line 11.(leave PV column blank)
4. To remove the fan display set the value column of input 2 (PV index 2003) to 0
5. To retain the fan display but disable local control set the value column of input 8 (PV index 2009) to 0
6. To disable local setpoint control set the value column of input 7 (PV index 2008) to 0
7. To disable local occupancy control set the value column of input 9 (PV index 200A) to 0.
8. To remove the occupancy display set the value column of input 3 (PV index 2004) to 255. Ensure that the input connection is not linked in strategy. With a fixed strategy IQEco where this is not possible set the E & F values of the function module writing to it both to 255.

9.  Where the fan control / display is retained the value of PV index 2003 should be set as appropriate for your application.

To transfer any changes to the display the IQEco needs a power reset. After about 30 seconds the configuration will be transferred to the display.
The display has no non-volatile memory so any changes made on the display will be lost on a power reset. The values can be changed dynamically if needed e.g. Write a 0 or 1 to input 8 to allow or block the local fan control depending on the circumstances.

Example input table below.
3 speed / Auto/off Fan display but no local control, Setpoint local control is allowed,  only the local temperature is displayed, the occupancy display is removed and the scrolling switched off.
